Rules and Guidelines

The following are the rules and guidelines that TGM-The Garbage Man uses for all clients. Please adhere to these rules and guidelines as laid out here. This helps us to keep on time and provide an effective and efficient service to all of our customers. 


  1. ALL TRASH MUST BE BAGGED AND TIED, WE CANNOT PICK UP LOOSE TRASH.
  2. All Trash must be out by 6 am on the day of service.
  3. On severe weather days, trash might have to be picked up on an alternate day (contact the office if notice isn't posted on Social Media)
  4. Payment is DUE upon receipt of the invoice. We bill 30 days in advance of the next quarter.
  5. Trash service will continue on all Federal Holidays, but could utilize alternate routes.
  6. There is a limit of seven (7) trash bags per week. Each additional bag over seven will incur a $2/bag surcharge. If we need to replace a torn bag, there will be a $2/bag charge for a replacement bag.
  7. ALL BOXES MUST BE BROKEN DOWN PRIOR TO TRASH PICKUP.
  8. Any bulk items should have arrangements made before your day of service for pick-up. These items will also incur an additional charge per item from $10-$30 each, depending on the size and weight of the item, which is payable at the time of pick-up.
  9. ITEMS WE CANNOT PICK-UP: TIRES, BATTERIES, LIQUID PAINT OR PAINT PRODUCTS, CHEMICALS.
